Rebecca Strating is the director of La Trobe Asia and a professor in politics and international relations at La Trobe University. Her research focuses on Australian foreign policy and maritime disputes in the Indo-Pacific. She is the author of three books and more than twenty peer-reviewed articles. Her forthcoming book is Girt by Sea: Re-Imagining Australia's Security.
