Natalie King

Natalie King is a curator, writer and Senior Research Fellow at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne. She co-curated Shadowlife tour to Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore and Bendigo. She has curated exhibitions for the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography; National Museum of Art, Osaka; MCA, Sydney; Tjibaou Cultural Centre, New Caledonia and Singapore Art Museum. She is a correspondent for Flash Art and on the editorial board of Art and Australia. King has published interviews with Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev, Tacita Dean, Massimiliano Gioni, Hou Hanru, Joseph Kosuth, Hiroshi Sugimoto and Ai Wei Wei. She is co-curating TarraWarra Biennial and a major Australian photography exhibition at the 13th Dong Gang International Photo Festival, Korea. She is the co-editor of Art in the Asia-Pacific: Intimate Publics and curator/editor of Up Close: Carol Jerrems with Larry Clark, Nan Goldin and William Yang.
