Before taking up her current role as a staff writer with The New Yorker in 2008, Ariel Levy was a contributing editor at New York magazine. Female Chauvinist Pigs is her first book. She has also contributed to The Best American Essays of 2008, and has an article in New York Stories: Landmark Writing from Four Decades of New York Magazine.
